Staying in Control of Your Play

Gambling is a paid form of entertainment and is not a way to earn or to recover money. A member should stake only money that is not needed for rent, food, bills or debts. At BigGerz we provide controls for those who want them, and we describe them here as they operate.

Controls available to every member

ControlHow it is usedWhen it starts
Deposit limitRequest by email or chatOn confirmation by our team

Time or session limitRequest by email or chatOn confirmation by our team

A limit that lowers risk is applied promptly. We treat a request to raise a limit with caution and may ask the member to wait before it takes effect.

Signs that play has become a problem

  • Staking more than planned, or for longer than planned.
  • Returning to recover a loss on the same day.
  • Borrowing money, or using money meant for bills, to play.
  • Hiding play from family or friends.
  • Feeling irritable or anxious when not playing.
  • Neglecting work or relationships because of play.

A member who recognises two or more of these signs should stop, take a break and contact one of the independent services listed in this text.

Planning a session

  1. Decide an amount before the session and do not exceed it.
  2. Decide the length of the session and use a phone alarm.
  3. Keep sessions for times when you are rested, calm and sober.
  4. Do not chase a loss with a larger stake.
  5. Withdraw part of any win at once, so that it is not played back.

Bonuses and pressure to play

A bonus with a 14-day period can create pressure to stake more than planned. Nobody is obliged to take an offer. The offer can be declined when depositing, and declining it does not affect cashback, rakeback or loot boxes. The same applies to the wagering requirement of 40x on the welcome match: if the requirement cannot be met within the period without exceeding your budget, decline the offer.

Money and time

Question to askWhy it matters
What is the most I can lose this month without harm?A fixed budget stops losses spreading
How long will I play today?Sessions grow without a plan
What will I do if I lose the amount?Decide to stop before the first stake
Whose money is it?Shared or borrowed money must not be staked

Games are designed so that over time the house keeps a share of every stake. A member cannot change that by raising the stake, by changing the game after a loss, or by following a pattern. Wagering requirements add a further cost, since stakes made to clear a bonus are part of the expense of the offer.

Reminders during play

Look at the clock and at the balance at regular intervals. Keep a note of the amount deposited in the month. Compare it with the budget. If the total exceeds the budget, stop for the month and ask our team to set a deposit limit.
Some members find it useful to deposit a fixed sum once a week on a set day, and to leave the account alone for the rest of the week. Others prefer to withdraw every win above a chosen amount. Either habit works only when the member keeps to it.

If you decide to stop

  1. Withdraw the balance, if you wish to.
  2. Write to our support team from the registered address asking to self-exclude, or to close the account.
  3. Remove saved card details from your browser.
  4. Tell someone you trust.
  5. Use an independent service, and ask your bank to block gambling.

Family and friends

Someone close to a person with a gambling problem may see changes of mood, unexplained debt, missing money and long absences. Speak calmly, without blame, and offer to go with the person to a service. GamAnon supports family and friends, and the National Gambling Helpline also advises relatives. We cannot discuss another person’s account without that person’s consent, but we can receive information and act on a request from the account holder.

Self-exclusion

Self-exclusion is requested by email from the registered address. It takes effect within 24 hours. During the exclusion we do not send marketing messages. Self-exclusion applies to our casino only and does not close accounts elsewhere.

Barriers on your own devices

  • Ask your bank to block gambling transactions on cards.
  • Use a blocking application on the phone and the computer.
  • Remove saved card details from the browser.
  • Turn off notifications from the casino.

Warning signs in the account

A member can read the account history as a record. Look at the number of deposits in a day, the time between a withdrawal and the next deposit, and the amount deposited after a loss. Several deposits in a short time, and deposits that grow after losses, are among the clearest signs. If you see this pattern in your own history, write to us and ask for a break.

Our support team

Our team does not push a member to continue. A member who asks for a limit, a break or self-exclusion is not asked to justify it. Live chat is open around the clock to registered members, and the same requests are accepted by email at [email protected]. Deposit limits take effect when our team confirms them, and the confirmation is sent to the registered email address.

Time controls

Long sessions blur the sense of time and money. Set a session length before you begin, and leave the game when the alarm sounds, even in the middle of a bonus. Our team sets a session limit on request. Take a break of at least a few minutes every hour, and avoid late-night sessions, when judgement is weaker. A break of a day, a week or a month can be requested in the same way as a limit.

Minors

Members must be 18 or over. We ask for identity documents before the first withdrawal, and a minor found with an account is excluded. Adults should keep devices and cards out of the reach of children and use parental-control software.

Privacy

Information about limits, breaks and self-exclusion is used only to protect the member and to meet legal duties. Write to [email protected] from the registered address with any question about the controls.
