How We Handle the Personal Data of Our Members
In force from 8 October 2026. This notice applies to members in the United Kingdom who use the BigGerz casino and sportsbook.
1. Who is responsible for the data
1.1 Our role
The company that operates the BigGerz casino is the controller of the personal data of its members. We decide why and how the data is used.
1.2 Contact point
All questions about personal data go to our customer support department at [email protected]. The message must come from the registered email address, so that we can match it to the account.
1.3 Processors and partners
Payment processors, game providers, verification services and fraud-prevention services act on our instructions or as independent recipients for the purposes in section 3. We do not allow a service provider to use your data for its own purposes.
2. Data we collect
2.1 Data you give us
Identity data: name, email address, username, date of birth and gender. Contact data: address and telephone number. Financial data: bank or card details and the source of funds where we ask for it.
2.2 Data created by use
Transaction data on deposits, withdrawals and wagers, and usage data on games played, login times and bonuses claimed.
2.3 Technical data
IP address, login data, browser type, operating system and location data from the device.
2.4 Data from verification
Copies of a passport, driving licence or national identity card, and of a recent utility bill, are collected before the first withdrawal. They are used to confirm identity and address.
2.5 Special categories
Data about responsible gambling, and in some cases health data a member chooses to give us, is handled with additional care and used only for the protection of that member.
3. Why we use the data
3.1 Purposes
| Purpose | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Provide the service and process payments | Performance of the contract |
| Prevent money laundering and fraud | Legal obligation |
| Monitor responsible gambling | Legal obligation and legitimate interest |
| Detect bonus abuse | Legitimate interest |
| Marketing messages | Consent |
3.2 Using the data for several purposes
One item of data can serve more than one purpose. A deposit record is used to credit the account, to meet the duty to keep records, and to check for fraud. We do not use data for a purpose that is incompatible with those stated here.
3.3 Automated decisions
We do not rely on fully automated decisions. Profiling is used to assess risk and to detect bonus abuse, and a person reviews the result.
4. Who receives the data
4.1 Categories of recipient
Companies of our group, game providers, payment processors, marketing partners that you have agreed to hear from, verification services, legal advisers and public authorities.
4.2 Limits on recipients
Recipients receive the data they need for their task and nothing more. Payment processors see payment details, verification services see documents, and game providers see the technical data needed to run a game.
4.3 Registries
Where the law requires it, data may be given to a registry of problem gamblers.
5. Retention
5.1 Period
We keep transaction and identity data for at least five years from the last transaction or the closure of the account, as the rules on money laundering require.
5.2 Longer periods
A longer period applies where the law, an accounting rule, a claim or a regulatory request requires it. When the reason ends, the data is deleted or made anonymous.
5.3 After closure
After closure, data is kept only for regulatory enquiries, legal claims and accounting.
6. Security and transfers
6.1 Security
The connection is encrypted, and two-factor authentication by QR code is available. Passwords are the member’s responsibility and are never requested by us in a message.
6.2 Account safety
We advise a password that is not used elsewhere, and sign-out on shared devices. A member who suspects unauthorised access should write to us at once.
6.3 Transfers
Data may be transferred outside the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area. Where it is, we rely on safeguards such as the standard contractual clauses.
7. Messages we send
7.1 Service messages
Messages about deposits, withdrawals, verification and changes to the terms are sent to every member and are not marketing.
7.2 Marketing messages
Marketing is sent with consent. Consent can be withdrawn at any time by writing to us, and a member who has self-excluded receives no marketing.
8. Cookies
8.1 What cookies do
Cookies keep you signed in, remember preferences, and support analytics.
8.2 Your choice
You can block cookies in the browser. If you do, the sign-in may not hold.
9. Your rights
9.1 The rights
You may ask for access to your data, correction, erasure, restriction of processing, portability, and withdraw consent at any time.
9.2 Limits on erasure
Erasure is subject to the retention periods in section 5, and we explain which data we must keep and why.
9.3 Time limit
We answer a request within one month of receiving it.
9.4 Complaint
You may complain to the supervisory authority in your country, and in the United Kingdom that authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office.
10. Minors
10.1 Age limit
The service is for persons over 18, and we do not knowingly collect data about younger persons.
10.2 If we learn of a minor
We close the account and delete the data, except what the law requires us to keep.
11. Your requests in practice
11.1 How to make a request
Write from the registered email address and say which right you wish to use. We may ask for an identity document so that data is not given to the wrong person.
11.2 What we send
An access request receives a copy of the personal data we hold, with the purposes, the recipients and the retention period.
11.3 Correction
A member can ask us to correct a name, an address or a date of birth. A change to the name on the account needs a document.
12. Changes and contact
12.1 Changes
A change to this notice is published here with a new date.
12.2 Writing to BigGerz about your data
Write to [email protected] from the registered email address. A request that concerns data is handled by our customer support department.
